Starting Up a Vegetable Garden

My parents are officially retired now.

My mother is ok with this.
She is still busy with the normal house chores.

But not my father.
He starts to be restless.
Yesterday, he started to work in our little messy garden.
Instead of cleaning it up, he wants to start up a vegetable garden.
He wants to plant vegetables for self consume.
He says he wants to make us proud of him.

Well... I am not trying to be pessimist but my father is not a person that has green fingers.
He never work in a garden before.
He claims that he knows this and that.
He is getting older and harder for him to listen to us, except may be my hubby and my sister's boy friend.

Since he plans to be a gardener at the moment, I plan to find more information about vegetable planting.
Ways to start up a vegetable garden.
But I need the information in Chinese.
He reads Chinese better than English.
I want the planting methods in Chinese and it must be referring to Malaysia's weather.
Can anyone of you help me?
